Bio

Barb graduated with a Bachelor of Science from the University of Western Ontario in the early 80’s. After a cultural exchange to Cameroon , West Africa , she attended Teacher’s College in North Bay , Ontario .

After extensive travels in Australia , New Zealand and South East Asia , the purchase of a small business in Sooke , BC captivated her time. Her strong sense of community has gotten her involved in many activities including director of the Sooke Harbour Chamber of Commerce and chair of the Sooke Economic Development Commission.

Despite selling her business and moving to Victoria , the organization of the Sooke Challenge, a relay/ triathlon for local charity, and involvement with Search and Rescue and Emergency Planning still keep her in contact with her friends and business associates in the Sooke area.

These activities have enabled Barb to develop and hone her planning, communication and interpersonal skills. Her practical, down to earth nature along with her ready smile and quick wit make her a great asset to the Compass Consulting team.
