Hygienists/CDA wages vary considerably because of skill variations, experience and personal characteristics. Wages are reached based the individual’s input on the practice overall productivity.

Staff needs to feel that they are progressing; salary increases and/or bonuses are part of that progression. However careful consideration should be given the formula used to calculate financial rewards. This formula needs to be fair to the staff’s efforts while still be affordable by the practice.
